About Us - The Pool
Opening & Closing Dates:
The pool traditionally opens the weekend before Memorial Day each year (Saturday, May 26th this year) and closes on Labor Day.
The pool is open to general swimming seven days a week from 11am to 7pm. The Pool Manger and Staff wil close the pool due to a mechanical failure, poor weather, or any condition that makes the pool use hazardous.
The pool may, on rare occasions, close to general swimming so it can host swim team meets. The dates are listed in the "Summer Calendar" distributed with the Registration Packet in April as well as posted at the pool.
Swim Team:
Children able to swim the length of the pool are encouraged to join the Arapahoe Lake Whalers swim team. It's good exercise and a lot of fun. Contact the pool office for more information.
Lessons:
Three sessions of two-week classes for a variety of ability levels are offered throughout the summer. Both group and private lessons are available; sign up at the pool office. If you have a special interest and would lilke a lesson, ask the pool staff.
Who May Use the Pool:
Members: Arapahoe Lake residents, residents of other subdivisions who have paid a membership fee and their guests may use the pool. Each time you enter the pool enclosure you must sign in. There are no exceptions.
Guests: Guests are "any persons not permanent residents of a Member household". For a guest to use the pool, an adult member must register
the guest at the pool, take responsibility for the guest's behavior and make sure the guest understands and obeys all the rules.
Important: The Park District is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property. Additionally, the cost of any damage to Park District property caused by a Member of Guest will be paid by the member.
